According to new allegations from a informant, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, currently serving a two-decade sentence for sex-trafficking crimes, is reportedly preparing a commutation application for review by the Trump administration.

Special Treatment Claimed at Federal Prison

House Democrats on the House judiciary committee revealed that a whistleblower provided evidence indicating the inmate is working on the commutation application. They also stated she has been given preferential conditions at the federal prison camp in the Lone Star State.

Representative Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the committee, stated in a news release that the facility's chief was assisting the convict with copying, printing, and sending documents to support her bid for clemency.

Specific details of the clemency request remain unclear, the congressman noted.

Claimed Perks and Custom Arrangements

The representative claims that, per the insider, the prisoner has been receiving “customized” meals that are “personally delivered” to her cell, and the warden has “personally arranged” private meetings for her and her visitors.

These meetings allegedly include a designated private space for visitors and “an assortment of snacks and refreshments” for her associates.

Those visiting Maxwell were also allowed to bring computers, which the congressman characterized as an “unprecedented action” given the security risk and potential for unsupervised contact.

Reportedly on one occasion, when communications failed for other prisoners, she was provided directions about who she should tell her associates to call and how staff would connect the communication to her.

Supervisor Acting as Assistant

The source also allegedly told House Democrats that when the convict wanted to examine and modify papers promptly, she reportedly employed the official as her “personal secretary and administrative assistant”.

The news release indicates that those writing to her would email documents directly to the warden, who would provide them to the inmate, for her to examine and change and provide them back to the warden to digitize and send to the initial correspondent.

Extra Benefits Reported

Other privileges allegedly granted to Maxwell include time to “play with” a service dog puppy – a perk typically prohibited – as well as exclusive nighttime use to the facility's gym.

Her legal counsel has not yet replied to a inquiry regarding the insider's allegations.

In a statement, the presidential office said that it “will not discuss” on possible pardon appeals.

“Per the President's remarks, granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has thought about,” the representative noted.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Maxwell told close associates in electronic messages that she was more content at the new prison than her previous prison.

In August, Maxwell was transferred from a low-security prison in Florida's capital to the minimum-security camp in Texas, where most detainees are serving time for financial and non-violent crimes.

The transfer, which authorities called as exceptional, occurred just days after she was interviewed about the Epstein case by the senior justice official, the official, who also once acted as the President's private attorney.

That interview came as the Trump administration was facing increasing scrutiny to disclose additional files related to the Epstein investigation and amid widespread conjecture around Trump's own personal ties to the disgraced financier and adjudicated criminal, who was found dead in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting prosecution on trafficking accusations.

Lawmaker Reactions

In the news release, Raskin also revealed that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, requesting explanations about the insider's claims, and called on the president to reject the clemency appeal.

“It would be inappropriate to approve any form of clemency to this adjudicated and remorseless sex offender,” the representative stated in the document. “Your Administration should not be providing her with room service, with canine interaction, with federal law enforcement officials waiting on her every need, or with any special treatment or institutional privilege at all.”

Raskin requested that Blanche appear for a open legislative session to address the disclosures and also presented several inquiries to Trump.

Raskin asked whether Trump had discussed a possible clemency for Maxwell with Blanche or others, whether he had directed him or anyone else to arrange her with the move or favorable and preferential treatment in prison, and whether she, her lawyers, relatives or representatives have made any commitments to the President or his legal team.

Raskin has asked for a reply to the questions by the specified date.

Last month, the nation's highest court declined to hear an petition from Maxwell on her trafficking verdict.
