In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
